The Workshop

Through demonstrations and hands-on inking and printing, we will mix beautiful colors using only five traditional inks. After a simple and systematic color mixing demonstration, participants will create their own monoprints by layering colors and using stencils. Feel free to bring your sketchbook and/or found or organic stencils you might want to use.

Susan Denniston

Susan is a printmaker and mixed media artist living in Scituate, Massachusetts, USA. Aspects of loss and reinvention, erosion and renewal mark her work. Whether working with inherited and fragile cloth or powerful images of a seawall at the mercy of a rising tide, her work holds fragments of persistence and hope woven with glimpses of her personal story. Her work is seen regionally in the US and more recently internationally in Krakow, Israel, Havana, Portugal, and Vietnam.
