A technique similar to the more historic woodcut, the linocut creates relief prints by engraving on a soft and malleable surface that is easy to work and cut.
During the workshops, instructors will demonstrate examples of woodcut and linocut prints. The instructors will also introduce the characteristic tools and materials of the technique, such as the gouges, sharpening stones and plates of various materials.
Our expert instructors will guide students throughout the process of engraving the plates, sharpening the tools and the realisation of a small print. We utilise sustainable inks which are easy to clean and offer a wide range of colours.
