More information

There are several supports on which a direct engraved sign can be generated. Historically and traditionally, metal plates, such as zinc or copper, have been used. In contemporary printmaking, plexiglass has become commonly used and the expressive possibilities of recycled materials such as the high-performance tetrapack™ are being explored. In this workshop we will experiment with various supports and a variety of tools in order to generate original prints. We will compare the materials to identify those that are best suited to our engraving practice.
